Mycotoxins are the toxic metabolites produced by mould in the food/ingredients/feed it contaminates. Fungi exists widely in nature. At present, there are about 150 kinds of fungi that can produce toxin, and about 300 kinds of mycotoxins. Once mycotoxin is generated, it is extremely difficult to feed, affect palatability, and lead to the decrease of feed growth stagnation, reduced immunity, decreased production performance, and even poisoning death, resulting in huge economic losses.
